Kathmandu city, capital of Nepal is surrounded by beautiful country side otherwise known as the Kathmandu valley. Volunteers are sent to a number of small, rural mountain villages in Kathmandu valley such as Dakshinkali, Godawari, Kapan, Gokarna.

All of the Villages are located within one hour to one and half an hour bus ride from the center of Kathmandu. Most of the villages have well-developed infrastructure with water readily available and reliable roads. Most of the villages will have a few shops where you can purchase bottled water, biscuits, stationeries etc. Local phone call can usually be made and international phone calls are also accepted but internet access is usually not available.

We have many rural locations in Nepal where we can place volunteers anywhere from one month to 5 months. Volunteers opportunities exist in: teaching conversational English in the local school; creating awareness about basic health issue; environmental issues, sanitation issues, building business skills and self-confidence. During this time volunteers will benefit from cross-cultural experiences through the home-stay program.
